So, I was having a conversation with a dear friend last night in the wee hours of the morning. 3am. Typical night. We were talking about life, love, God, family.Typical night. We both mentioned our concerns for the financial issues in our lives.I said something that made a lot of sense.(I'll tell you later)But, it's so funny. They're has been so many studies with people who have money and, people who are less blessed. For example. There was a study in a corporate office of a major fortune 500 company in America. Everyone was given a doughnut and was asked to pay for before they left for work. The findings were outstanding. The higher you go in the company, the less they paid for their doughnut. The lower you go in the company, more people paid for their doughnut. What is that? Does being wealthy change your integrity?(I would say to some extent, yes)I would more so say that it was entitlement. The more money you get, the more you've "earned" your luxury. Therefore, the less you deem you should be responsible for, because, you have minions for that menial stuff.A doughnut? Really? Who cares?Amazing…I won't even get into the finances of Christians and the millions of ideas that suppose to be correct in what you 'should' do with your money according to God.In case Christians didn't know: We're the stingy people on Sunday that don't tip well.(Instead we leave a demeaning "Jesus brochure" for them to be "saved" by.)That thought that I had the other night while talking had so much to do with montatery thought. But, there is a bigger picture.the heart. The poor have a hard time gaining financial stability because of the frivolous apathy of the rich man. Because, lets face it, the poor don't pay the poor. For, if that was the case you would not see a poor man frown. Living pay check to pay check would not be a matter in consideration, because the consideration would be less of what prejudged misconceptions we have about our faithful neighbor so called character, and more consideration that we have needs, and money is the evil necessity that provides those needs. This constant scar that we have that we must diagnose and prescribe someone before we offer them help may in some cases hinder from actually helping the whole cause. When you are playing life's six-string, sometimes you get out of tune; strings break, and maybe have over draft fees.People sing this song about if you work you can get out of your financial predisposition. "If you work, you'll be successful."But, I'm living in this snow globe of reality. And if you shake me up, then things become a mess.Sometimes peoples environment cancel out their ability to get "ahead".I'll be honest. Wealth is hereditary.Of course, there are exceptions, both ways, people born into success and plunder, and then you got people like Dolly Parton. But, for the most part wealth is hereditary.I think of Paris Hilton. You think her parents made her get a 'job' to get her first car?Pay for her insurance?I'm going with a strong…No.And, that's OK, they are successful, that's good for them. But, their success has the ability to amplify her chances because the mo' doe you got's the less you worry about…College expenses.Singing lessons.Life insurance.I just wish you could see inside my thinking right now. This is so backwards. So backwards.
In retrospect. I don't really know what I just wrote. I don't even think it matters.
